MegaLabs, the main developer of Ethereum's new so-called "real-time" scaling protocol, announced Thursday that it has raised $20 million in a seed round led by Dragonfly Capital. 😮

In this round, companies such as Figment Capital, Folius Ventures, Robot Ventures, Big Brain Holding, Tangent and Credibly Neutral, as well as Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin, Consensys CEO Joseph Lubin, EigenLayer creator Sreeram Kannan and Flashbots' Hasu. Angel investors also took part. 🚀

The new capital will be used for the development of the MegaETH protocol, with a testnet targeted to be live within a few months. MegaETH calls itself a “real-time blockchain” focused on the speed at which transactions are processed, and plans to stream “100,000 transactions per second with millisecond-level responsiveness.” 🤯

MegaETH achieves scaling in two ways: “heterogeneous blockchain architecture that increases performance by allowing network nodes to focus on specific tasks” and “a hyper-optimized EVM execution environment that increases throughput, latency, and resource efficiency to the hardware limits.” 🧠

The MegaETH idea was partially inspired by Buterin's 2021 blog post titled "Endgame," where he discusses scaling Ethereum. 🎯

We are waiting your comments! What do you think about MegaETH? What do you think about this fast and scalable blockchain? Leave your comments below! 😄👇
