According to TechFlow, cross-chain interoperability platform Wormhole announced that Worldcoin’s World ID will soon be available on the Solana ecosystem and supported by Wormhole. Wormhole Labs received funding from the Worldcoin Foundation to expand Worldcoin’s decentralized identity protocol World ID to Solana.
World ID leverages biometric data and zero-knowledge proofs to securely verify identity. This integration will enable a state bridge service between Ethereum and Solana through Wormhole Queries, ensuring that the state root and inclusion proofs of World ID are verified and stored on Solana, allowing the Solana protocol to seamlessly verify World IDs authenticated on Ethereum.
