According to Decrypt, the multi-chain asset and identity interoperability protocol Rarimo has launched an identity verification tool RariMe that competes with Worldcoin, using zero-knowledge proof technology to protect user privacy. RariMe is described as a self-hosted identity wallet that unlocks private but verifiable identity information. Unlike Worldcoin, which generates a unique identifier by scanning the user's eyeballs, RariMe only needs to scan the user's passport to verify the identity and generate a zero-knowledge proof to prove the user's age, nationality or identity. Currently, RariMe is compatible with MetaMask and can be integrated into platforms such as Coinbase, Civic, Gitcoin and Zealy.
