Buffett supports! Nubank bravely enters the new track of Bitcoin lightning payment
On June 25, Nubank, a Brazilian digital bank supported by Warren Buffett, announced a partnership with Lightspark to integrate the Bitcoin Lightning Network.
Nubank has 100 million customers. The cooperation aims to reduce Bitcoin transaction costs and increase transfer speed. The head of Nubank's encryption department said that the goal is to use blockchain to achieve better fund transfers.
Lightspark will introduce a universal currency address standard to simplify the transfer process. Nubank has long been involved in the cryptocurrency field, allowing the trading of 14 cryptocurrencies, and also cooperates with Circle to provide USD Coin services. Its customers are mainly in Brazil, Mexico and Colombia.
