According to TechFlow, on January 8, Leon Waidmann, head of research at Onchain Insights, released data showing that the Ethereum Layer 2 ecosystem started off strongly in 2025.
The number of active addresses this week reached 10.18 million, up 6.84% from the previous month, close to the historical high. The transaction volume currently processed by the Layer 2 network has reached 5.19 times that of the Ethereum main network.
