According to Cointelegraph, Elon Musk announced that the X platform will adjust its algorithm to prioritize content that is considered informative or educational in response to the excessive amount of negative content on the platform.
Musk said the move was designed to maximize users' "no regrets time" rather than just increase user stay time. Users criticized the move as censorship and questioned who has the right to decide what is "negative content."
Before the algorithm adjustment, Musk removed advanced features from some accounts due to immigration visa disputes. Vitalik Buterin called on Musk to uphold freedom of speech and not ban users due to differences of opinion.
Previously, Musk's dispute with the Brazilian government led to the X platform being banned in the country.
