Binance Labs, the venture capital arm of Binance, has made a strategic investment in BIO Protocol, an innovative project that aims to revolutionize the funding and commercialization of early-stage scientific research through blockchain technology.
About BIO Protocol:
Decentralized Science (DeSci): BIO Protocol serves as a platform that enables a global community—comprised of scientists, patients, and investors—to collectively fund, develop, and own new medicines and therapies through a network of Biotech Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (BioDAOs).
Research Focus: The protocol targets funding gaps in traditional scientific research, specifically in areas such as rare diseases, longevity research, and other emerging health challenges.
BioDAOs Network: BIO Protocol currently has seven BioDAOs focused on areas including cryopreservation, women’s health, and the use of psychedelics for mental health treatments.
Development Plans:
Upcoming Projects: BIO Protocol plans to expand its network with projects focused on developing treatments for Long COVID, rare diseases, and developing quantum microscopes to observe quantum biology phenomena.
