When the experts behind Yumi and DSCVR planned to self-custody their funds, they needed a proven, all-in-one wallet infrastructure with key features:

  • Enterprise-grade security protects assets from cyberattacks, insider collusion, and human error

  • An intuitive experience that employees can engage and interact with

  • Ability to expand beyond out-of-the-box features and functionality

In order to familiarize themselves with how to protect their assets, they look for a powerful wallet that meets their needs without compromising the robustness of their security requirements; at the same time, they want to know that the team behind the infrastructure is backed by industry veterans who are committed to the ideals of a decentralized future.

Choosing a multi-approver workflow and policy management platform was nontrivial, and both teams spent months considering building their own system but were concerned about the high cost of maintaining a decentralized codebase for such a robust platform.

After seeing the benefits of NFID’s decentralized wallet protocol, multi-approvers capabilities, and automated policy workflows, they decided to partner with Identity Labs and its wallet protocol, NFID.

"A secure wallet is essential when it comes to protecting treasury assets, and NFID is backed by industry giants, backed by the security of the Internet's computers, and built by a team that's here for you." - Dustin Becker, Yumi Research Scientist

NFID Wallet - The most convenient and secure wallet in Web3

Using NFID couldn’t be easier for both casual and institutional crypto wallet users, and getting started is as simple as navigating to NFID’s website and logging in with Google — no downloads, plugins, or complicated setup processes required to get started.

For enterprise-level security, NFID supports authentication via USB security keys, fingerprint, Touch ID, and other types of localized hardware cryptographic authenticators. For example, NFID verifies a user’s identity by initiating a biometric request using a fingerprint scanner on a laptop or mobile device.

In addition to protecting against phishing attacks, this also greatly reduces login friction by allowing biometric login during re-authentication.

“I feel comfortable knowing that my team and I are well protected from unauthorized access to my personal NFID wallet and shared NFID vault.” - Rick Porter, Founder of DSCVR

NFID’s Asset Security Automation Policy Engine

Yumi and the DSCVR team immediately took advantage of NFID’s flexible policy engine and automated authorization workflows, using them to automatically authorize transactions when they meet defined parameters, tools that significantly accelerated transaction times and reduced the need for manual approvals.

Just as Yumi and DSCVR value savings and efficiencies, they equally value the peace of mind that comes with the NFID’s reputation.

The team behind NFID, Identity Labs, has not only received multiple grants from the DFINITY Foundation, they are also veterans in the tech community, with support from Polychain Capital, Tomahawk VC, the DFINITY Foundation, Joachim Breitner, Rubylight Ventures, and Matt Symons.

Security of Internet Computers

A decentralized cloud computing platform requires hundreds of the world’s best cryptographers to work for years to invent novel new algorithms to scale the security of billions of dollars of assets. DFINITY is such a team that built such a platform and calls it the Internet Computer.

Today, just a year and a half after going live, the Internet Computer can process 13,000 transactions per second and secure billions of dollars in ICPs, NFTs, and other non-fungible tokens.

NFID leverages the Internet Computer’s decentralized threshold cryptography and multi-party computation to develop a secure foundation typically only accessible to large banks and institutions.

“The Internet Computer is a decentralized, encrypted cloud platform capable of hosting and scaling full-stack decentralized applications. As the world computer, it is in a category of its own.” - Dan Ostrovsky, Founder, Identity Labs
