Eligibility
The Helmet Design Contest ("Contest") is open to eligible Binance users aged 18 years or older. You must be a verified Binance user to participate in this contest. Binance employees, affiliates, and partners, are not eligible to participate in the Contest.
Residents of specific countries and territories under international sanctions, trade embargoes, or trade-related restrictions will not be eligible to participate in this contest. By explicitly agreeing to these terms and conditions, you affirm that you are not listed in any trade embargo or sanctions register. Please be aware that Binance retains the authority to choose affected markets and jurisdictions, potentially leading to the disqualification of your entry in this contest.
Entry Requirements
Participants must have a verified Binance account to submit their helmet design for consideration.
Each participant is allowed to submit only one design entry for the Contest.
The design entry must be original and not infringe on any third-party copyrights, trademarks, intellectual property rights, or any other rights.
By entering the Contest, the participant agrees, represents, and undertakes that the entry is the original work of the participant, does not include any third party rights, and other than the intellectual property in the Designated Design File ("downloadable file that contains all the necessary design elements, specifications, and technical details required for the design of the helmet"), the participant is the sole owner of all intellectual property rights subsisting in the entry; the entry has not been used for commercial purposes or submitted in other contests, locally or abroad; the participation or entry is not in violation of any law, regulations, or contracts or an infringement of a third party’s intellectual property rights, moral rights, or privacy rights.
Your permission to use the intellectual property provided in the Designated Design File and your final submission, is limited to your entry in this Contest only and cannot be used for any other purpose.
Submission Process
The design submission period will be from January 8, 2025 (00:00 UTC) to January 20, 2025 (23:59 UTC).
Participants must download the Designated Design File from the Campaign Landing Page, incorporate their design within the provided areas, and submit it via the Binance Survey available on the same page.
All entries must be submitted in a high-resolution image format (PDF, PNG, JPG, etc.) and must adhere to the design and brand guidelines provided.
Prizes
The grand prize winner will:
Have their helmet design featured on Pierre Gasly's helmet during the Australian Grand Prix.
Take home a signed replica of Pierre’s designed helmet (estimated value: 3500 EUR).
Have the opportunity to join the BWT Alpine F1 Team, along with a plus one, at the Grand Prix closest to the participant's location. The Race Day Experience includes race day access only and does not include flights or accommodation.
Enjoy a virtual meet-and-greet with Pierre Gasly, subject to availability.
The grand prize winner and runners-up are solely responsible for any and all customs duties, taxes, and other fees associated with the receipt and use of the prizes. Binance will not be liable for any additional costs incurred by the winners in relation to customs and taxes. Winners are advised to consult with their local customs office and tax authority to understand their obligations.
Winner Selection
10 shortlisted designs from the Binance Survey submissions will be chosen by the Binance team based on creativity and alignment with the spirit of motorsport. The final winner will be selected by Pierre Gasly. The decision of the judging panel will be final and binding.
Judging Criteria
At the heart of our Helmet Design Contest lies a commitment to creativity and excellence. To ensure a fair evaluation, we've outlined clear criteria and a meticulous selection process. Your design will be assessed against the standards below.
Originality and Creativity: Submissions will be evaluated based on the uniqueness and creativity displayed in the design. Designs that demonstrate innovative and fresh perspectives will have an advantage.
Relevance to Theme: Entries that effectively capture the essence of the Formula 1 racing spirit and align with the Australian Grand Prix theme will be favorably considered.
Helmet Sponsor Placement: Designs should ensure that helmet sponsor logos are prominently and appropriately placed as per the provided guidelines.
Technical Execution: The technical proficiency of the design's execution, attention to detail, and skill in working with the provided helmet template will be taken into account.
Aesthetic Appeal: The overall visual appeal, color palette, and visual harmony of the design will contribute to its evaluation.
Reflection of Binance's Values: Designs that resonate with the Binance brand, innovative ethos and align with the campaign's goals of connecting the motorsport community and celebrating collaboration will be a crucial factor in the selection process.
Notification of Winners
The grand prize winner will be notified via the email address provided in the Design Survey by March 11 (23:59 UTC) at the latest.
Those who do not respond to the email within 3 days of notification will be considered forfeiting their prizes.
Personal Data and Content Usage
By participating in the Contest, authorship remains with the participant, but the participant acknowledges and agrees that Binance, Pierre Gasly, BWT Alpine F1 Team, Formula 1, and BWT have an unrestricted, royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive, and sub-licensable license to use, reproduce, apply, reformat, modify, adapt, publish, display, broadcast, screen, distribute, communicate, exploit, and commercialize the entry in whole or in part for any purpose at any time in any media format and any media channels, without any further payment or compensation to the participant.
Participants agree that any use of their design outside of the Contest is limited to personal, non-commercial purposes. Participants shall not use, reproduce, distribute, or otherwise exploit the design for any commercial purposes without the prior written consent of Binance.
Participants agree to maintain the confidentiality of their design and any related materials until the official reveal by Binance. Participants shall not disclose, share, or reveal any part of their design to any third party or public forum prior to the official announcement by Binance. Any breach of this confidentiality obligation may result in disqualification from the Contest.
Participants' personal data will be collected and processed in accordance with Binance's privacy policy here.
Disqualification Terms
Binance reserves the right to disqualify any participant who breaches the Contest's terms and conditions or engages in any fraudulent activity.
Participants found to have submitted plagiarized or copyrighted material will be disqualified immediately.
Designs featuring alcohol-related imagery, references, or branding will not be considered eligible.
Submissions with explicit or inappropriate content, including profanity or sexually suggestive elements, will be disqualified from the contest.
Any entry that deviates from the provided helmet guidelines will not be considered for the competition.
Designs promoting violence, hatred, or any form of discrimination will lead to disqualification.
Helmets featuring offensive or derogatory symbols, language, or imagery will not be accepted.
Designs that violate any local or international laws, regulations, or ethical standards will not be eligible for the contest.
Multiple entries from the same participant may result in disqualification from the competition.
Designs that have previously been published, displayed, or used for commercial purposes will be disqualified.
General Terms
Binance reserves the right to amend, suspend, or terminate the Contest at any time without prior notice.
Participants agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations during their participation in the Contest.
By entering the Helmet Design Contest, participants fully and unconditionally agree to abide by the aforementioned contest’s Terms and Conditions, as well as the general terms and conditions for prize promotions here.
