Although we were hit by a $CATCH token exploit a few weeks ago, we handled it excellently. While similar events would cripple and liquidate 90% of projects in the cryptocurrency space, the exact opposite happened for us. Thanks to this “misfortune,” we managed to increase our security to a higher level and gained very valuable contacts for the future, which will help us maintain security at the highest level.



However, we are aware that it wouldn’t have been possible without the immense support of our community. While other crypto projects often see FUD spreading on their social platforms (X, Telegram, Discord…) over trivial matters, our community practically recorded no FUD even during such a challenging situation as an exploit.

As a thank you to the community and a way to maintain the price of the $CATCH token, we decided to launch a unique Diamond Hands Program, which we will now discuss below.

What is Diamond Hands Program

This is a unique program for our community that will take place exclusively on-chain. As the re-launch of the $CATCH token approaches, you need to know what’s coming. To be fair to our entire community, the start (Genesis snapshot) of the Diamond Hands Program is planned for 48 hours after the announcement of token distribution by the last exchange (note that this condition may change if necessary).

On this day, after the subsequent two-day period ends, an on-chain snapshot of all $CATCH token holders, including $CATCH staking, will be taken. Subsequently, unannounced snapshots will be conducted over the following weeks and months to monitor compliance with the conditions of this campaign.

It will be very important to have your tokens locked in staking! For each staked $CATCH token during the snapshots, you will earn 3 points, and for $CATCH tokens held in your wallet outside of staking, you will earn only 1 point. This is purely an on-chain matter; tokens on a centralized exchange do not count!

Keep in mind that you must not fall below the number of tokens you had during the Genesis snapshot. If you fall below this level in any of the subsequent periodic snapshots, you will be automatically excluded from this campaign and will not be eligible for a reward.

2 000 000 $CATCH Tokens

We have allocated 2,000,000 $CATCH tokens for rewards in the Diamond Hands Program, which will primarily be paid out from Team tokens. We decided to do this because the fault was partly ours, and we want to fully compensate our community. These tokens will be divided into 3 periods and paid out in a lump sum without vesting:

#Stage 1 — 400,000 $CATCH tokens (90 days period)

#Stage 2 — 600,000 $CATCH tokens (180 days period)

#Stage 3 — 1,000,000 $CATCH tokens (365 days period)

Example

During the Genesis Snapshot, User A holds 100 $CATCH tokens in their wallet, and User B holds 50 $CATCH tokens in their wallet and 50 tokens in staking. Both users successfully complete Stage 1 and will divide the rewards as follows: User A held the same number of tokens the entire time and earned 100 points. User B also held their tokens without change and earned 50 + 150 points = 200 points. User A will receive 33.4% of the reward pool tokens, and User B will receive 66.6% of the tokens.

During the series of snapshots for Stage 2, User B sold part of their tokens, dropping below the Genesis snapshot value of 100 tokens. Because of this, they are no longer eligible for rewards from Stage 2 and Stage 3. User A still holds their token count and thus earns the full share from both stages.

Please note that only the amount you hold during the Genesis snapshot matters (the total number of $CATCH tokens in your wallet and in staking). For example, if you have a total of 1,500 tokens during the Genesis snapshot and then purchase an additional 20,000 tokens, which you hold — you will only earn points for the 1,500 tokens. Additionally, if you fall below the threshold of 1,500 tokens, you will not earn anything.

Only the real Diamond hands will win

As you can see from the example above, with the increasing number of tokens in the rewards over the 3 stages, it is very likely that some users will not manage (or want) to hold the same or higher number of tokens for such a long period. In practice, this will mean that the reward ratio will be much higher for Stage 2 and Stage 3 than the size of the rewards.

We have designed this program to reward the biggest supporters the most from the SpaceCatch community.
