The US dollar is the most used currency on earth and it backed by the might of the US economy which is also protected by the US military, in the past it used to be backed by Gold but as it restricted the amount of dollars in the market, President Nixon suspended the convertibility of dollar into Gold, ushering in a new era of global finance and economy.
