Prevent hacks!
Some suggestions to prevent hacks are as follows:-
(1) Reset old smartphones to factory settings & use them as cold wallets for permanent storage. Don't use them to get on the internet at all.
(2) Have 1 hot wallet that has very little tokens/coins. This is your day to day use. Transfer from your cold wallet the amount you need for use. If it gets hacked, the amount lost would not be great.
(3) Don't keep your recovery phrases in digital copy & in the PC you use to get on the internet. Write them in a hard cover blank book & store the book separately from your wallets.
(4) Some people spilt their recovery phrases & store them separately. Eg phrases 1 to 6 are written book 1. Phrases 7 to 12 are written in book 2.
(5) Never open emails with links. Check their email address thoroughly first. Eg abc@apple.com & abc@app1e.com look close but are different.
(6) Double check the app you are downloading from the Apple store or Google Play. Don't assume they have been throughly vetted by Apple or Google.
