A Shiba Inu investor has made headlines after reportedly earning billions of dollars in profits within just 14 months, thanks to an early investment in the SHIB token.
It's reported that the investor purchased SHIB tokens worth $3,400 or about Rp51 million in early August 2020, when the token was still in its infancy.
Since then, Shiba Inu has experienced an astonishing surge of 94,278,239%, reaching an all-time high of $0.00008616 or Rp1.31 in October 2021. This surge in value has transformed the investor's portfolio from $3,400 to a staggering $1.55 billion or from Rp51 million to a whopping Rp23.5 trillion, changing their life dramatically in just over a year.
The surge in Shiba Inu and other cryptocurrencies is partly attributed to the halving event in 2020, which reduced the rate at which new coins are created. Another halving event is expected to occur in April this year, leading to further anticipation of price increases, especially in Bitcoin, which is expected to reach new all-time highs. This trend is likely to extend to other coins, including Shiba Inu.
