According to Bloomberg, CoreWeave has announced the appointment of two new senior executives as the company continues to expand its presence in the AI sector. Chen Goldberg, formerly the general manager and vice president of engineering at Google's Alphabet Inc., will take on the role of senior vice president of engineering. Sachin Jain, who previously served as Oracle’s senior vice president of AI infrastructure and product management, will become the chief operating officer. Both executives are set to start their new roles next week, as confirmed by Brannin McBee, co-founder and chief development officer at CoreWeave.
The Roseland, New Jersey-based company has emerged as one of the most valued startups in the AI industry, competing against major service providers such as Amazon, Google, and Oracle. Over the past year, CoreWeave has raised $12 billion in debt and equity to support its growth. Earlier this year, the cloud computing company made headlines by offering approximately $1 billion to acquire a Bitcoin mining and high-performance computing services provider.
These new hires are part of a broader trend of CoreWeave attracting top talent from leading tech companies. Nitin Agrawal recently joined as chief financial officer from Google, while Chetan Kapoor was appointed chief product officer from Amazon Web Services. The strategic additions to the leadership team are expected to bolster CoreWeave's capabilities and competitive edge in the rapidly evolving AI landscape.
