According to Odaily, Kautuk Kundan, the founder and CEO of Stackr Labs, has raised concerns about Atari's latest crypto arcade game, Asteroids. Kundan stated on the X platform that despite the game's claim of being a 'blockchain game,' it is not actually built on-chain. He and his team at Stackr Labs managed to manipulate the game's leaderboard without playing the game by sending 'API calls' to a Web2 server, thereby proving that the game is not truly on-chain as advertised.

Asteroids, which is based on the Base chain, was recently launched by Atari. However, Kundan's revelation has cast doubt on the game's blockchain credentials, suggesting that the game operates more like a traditional Web2 application rather than leveraging blockchain technology. This incident highlights the importance of transparency and authenticity in the rapidly evolving field of blockchain gaming.
