Bitcoin reserves held by US entities have surged past those held offshore, according to CryptoQuant. As of January 9, US-held reserves are 65% greater than offshore holdings. This shift comes amid Bitcoin's price rally, which saw it peak at over $108,000 in early 2025.
The rise in US-held Bitcoin is driven by institutional interest, with companies like MicroStrategy making significant purchases. MicroStrategy recently added 1,070 BTC, bringing its total to 447,470 BTC.
Meanwhile, Bitcoin's price has corrected to $93,000, with analysts viewing this as a healthy adjustment following its rapid ascent.
