Brazilian Federal Revenue Intensifies Monitoring of the Country's Financial Transactions!

The Brazilian Federal Revenue Service has announced new measures to intensify the monitoring of financial transactions carried out through the Pix system. Pix is an instant payment platform widely used in Brazil, allowing quick and easy transfers between bank accounts.

From now on, there will be a new limit of 5,000 reais (approximately $800) per month for individuals and 15,000 reais (approximately $2,400) for companies. Information about these transactions will be disclosed until 2026, and digital banks will also have to report operations that exceed these amounts.

The main objective of this measure is to increase control over financial operations in the country, aiming for greater effectiveness against tax evasion and currency evasion, according to the Federal Revenue Service.
