Binance, a prominent cryptocurrency exchange, has revealed that Bio Protocol (BIO) will be the 63rd project featured on its Launchpool platform. Bio Protocol is a curation and liquidity protocol focused on promoting Decentralized Science (DeSci), with the goal of transforming scientific research through decentralized approaches.
Farming BIO Tokens on Binance Launchpool
Beginning December 24, 2024, at 00:00 (UTC), Binance users will have the opportunity to farm BIO tokens by staking BNB and FDUSD. The farming period will last until January 2, 2025, at 23:59 (UTC). A total of 99.6 million BIO tokens, which is 3% of the total genesis token supply, will be distributed as rewards. This distribution is split between two pools:
BNB Pool: 84.66 million BIO tokens allocated (85% of total rewards).
FDUSD Pool: 14.94 million BIO tokens allocated (15% of total rewards).
Each day, 9.96 million BIO tokens will be distributed, with 8.466 million BIO for the BNB pool and 1.494 million BIO for the FDUSD pool. To promote fair distribution, there will be an hourly cap per user set at 35,275 BIO tokens for the BNB pool and 6,225 BIO tokens for the FDUSD pool.
Upcoming Listing and Trading Pairs
After the farming period concludes, Binance intends to list BIO tokens on January 3, 2025, at 10:00 (UTC). The trading pairs available will include BIO/USDT, BIO/BNB, BIO/FDUSD, and BIO/TRY. At the time of listing, the initial circulating supply of BIO is expected to be around 1.296 billion tokens, which represents 39.05% of the total genesis supply.
Understanding Bio Protocol (BIO)
Bio Protocol acts as a curation and liquidity platform within the DeSci ecosystem, promoting decentralized scientific research and collaboration. By utilizing blockchain technology, it seeks to democratize access to scientific funding and resources, allowing researchers globally to engage in and benefit from shared scientific initiatives.
Tokenomics and Distribution
The total supply of BIO tokens is limited to 3.32 billion, with the following allocations:
Community and Ecosystem: 56% dedicated.
