CZ: Receiving cryptocurrency through private keys or hardware wallets provided by others is risky
Odaily reports that CZ posted on X, stating: "Recently, I've seen a few examples of people receiving cryptocurrencies through a shared private key or hardware wallet, which is a bad idea. The giver can still access those cryptocurrencies. You should transfer the cryptocurrencies to an address you own. Or even better, just have the giver send it to an address you own. Having two people access the same key (or seed phrase) is not advisable. When those cryptocurrencies are transferred (or moved by hackers), it's almost impossible to prove who moved those assets (which may have been hacked)."
