The altcoin market cap peaked (at $1.8T), however in 2021, there were about 6000 cryptocurrencies that people recognized in some exchanges, but now there are more than 13000 (and millions given the DEXs) - what do you expect from altcoins and why? Why do altcoins gain new ATHs? Why the same coins, given we have a lot of new coins? Be careful. The fear/greed index got its ATH just a week ago before the drop. So, likely, the bear market has started and is inevitable.
