The partnership aims to enhance AI identity app development across Web 3 and further the adoption of decentralized compute services.
io.net, a decentralized physical infrastructure network (DePIN) for GPUs, announced a strategic collaboration with Matchain, an AI identity layer for web3, on Thursday this week. The partnership focuses on decentralized AI builders, empowering them with cost-effective compute services for AI identity app building.
According to the team statement, io.net will become the official compute service partner to Matchain, providing developers with GPU infrastructure to support various applications across Matchain’s ecosystem.
Known as the ‘Internet of GPUs’, io.net provides users and developers with on-demand GPU resources, with a special focus on data-intensive startups such as AI, Machine Learning and Big Data firms. The partnership with Matchain is an extension of this, with the DePIN company providing decentralized GPU infrastructure, reducing the complexity of infrastructure management for Matchain developers. This approach aligns with io.net’s mission to make decentralized computing resources more accessible across industries.
Alagamating io.net’s vision with Matchain’s vision, Jessie Xiao, Chief Commercial Officer of Matchain stated:
“Our mission is to empower AI-driven innovation in decentralized ecosystems. Collaborating with io.net enhances our ability to provide developers with high-performance, cost-effective infrastructure for building next-generation applications.”
The partnership will help developers on Matchain to leverage io.net’s compute services and utilize them to build advanced AI for data aggregation, analytics, and user profiling, which empowers developers to create sophisticated decentralized identity and data management solutions. Notwithstanding, the collaboration will also allow projects on Matchain to access scalable, decentralized GPU resources to meet their computing needs.
“This partnership underscores our commitment to leveraging advanced technology for scalable and secure data solutions, enabling builders to push the boundaries of what’s possible in Web3,” Xiao added.
Providing Cost-Effective Computing Services
io.net has already welcomed hundreds of projects to its decentralized network of GPUs, with most singling out the cost-effective GPU resources it offers in comparison to traditional cloud providers. Similarly, Matchain selected io.net as its compute service partner, aiming to give its users and developers high-performance computing at more affordable rates.
With AI development in Web 3 growing by the day, the partnership bonds well with the vision of the two companies. It aligns with Matchain’s vision of leveraging blockchain to advance AI research with io.net’s decentralized computing model. On the other hand, io.net adds yet another AI development firm, adding to its user base and additional compute services.
Crucially, Matchain users will benefit from access to io.net’s GPU infrastructure at partner-specific rates, supporting the training, deployment, and scaling of AI models in a cost-efficient manner. This setup is designed to meet the needs of developers and entrepreneurs tackling resource-intensive AI workloads.
Finally, the partnership will provide developers on Matchain with additional tools to create futuristic and innovative AI identity applications, especially in data-intensive areas such as data and identity management. By combining Matchain’s AI-enabled blockchain with io.net’s compute capabilities, the partnership offers a practical solution for advancing decentralized AI applications.
