Tonight we attended the 'Green Fintech Showcase' at WLAB in Hong Kong - it was an event featuring some of the most promising Green FinTech startups in Hong Kong, allowing for some exposure into how these solutions are paving the way towards a more sustainable future. 🍃🌏 The event also included panel sessions from industry leaders such as #Cyberport's Head of Fintech, Invest HK's Global Head of Financial Services, Fintech & Sustainability and the Founder of Finstep Asia. During the session, it was highlighted that in 2021, HKMA did a survey amongst banks in the region on which vertical of #FinTech would they invest in - with #RegTech coming up on top, but the consensus being Green Fintech being the fastest-growing segment. 📈This showcases the growth potential and demand for green technology in the space, acknowledged by #financial and #digitalassets institutions. 🏦 The panelists noted that Hong Kong has an opportunity to also position itself as a forefront of the #sustainability space - and it's exciting times ahead for the field.
