Pompliano said he will soon prepare an article calling for the United States to buy $250 billion worth of bitcoin on the first day of the new administration. According to investors, the country can print money to buy it.
After buying and receiving the 200,000 bitcoins already available, the United States becomes the largest bitcoin holder in the world.
Pompliano said $250 billion may seem like a lot of money, but it's a rounding error compared to the hundreds of billions of debt added to the national debt.
