Betty White Honored with USPS "Forever Stamp"
The U.S. Postal Service (USPS) has announced a special tribute to television icon Betty White by featuring her on a 2025 Forever Stamp. Known for her legendary role in The Golden Girls and a remarkable seven-decade career in television, Betty White remains a beloved figure even after her passing in December 2021, just weeks shy of her 100th birthday.
The stamp features a digital illustration by Boston artist Dale Stephanos, inspired by a 2010 photograph by celebrity photographer Kwaku Alston. Designed by USPS art director Greg Breeding, the stamp captures White’s warmth and wit, traits that endeared her to audiences of all ages.
USPS highlighted White’s widespread influence, noting her popularity with younger generations and her dedication to animal advocacy. An official release date for the stamp is yet to be announced, but it will join a series of stamps celebrating pop culture icons, history, and natural beauty.
White’s legacy as a trailblazer in entertainment, celebrated with this honor, ensures she will continue to inspire and bring joy to fans for generations to come.
