Most financial advisors are not willing or able to handle crypto-related requests from clients, despite the growing interest among retail investors. This reluctance creates a problem for the financial advisor industry, as they could lose clients if they cannot offer or discuss cryptocurrency. While retail interest in cryptocurrency has increased since the election, only a small percentage of financial advisors recommend or discuss cryptocurrencies with their clients.

This is partly due to large institutions prohibiting discussion or recommendation of crypto, as well as the complexity of the technology. However, some independent financial advisors have softened their position on Bitcoin, recognizing its potential as they gain more experience with the technology.
