ETHEREUM RESEARCHERS UNVEIL SMART TRANSACTIONS TO REALIZE “WORLD COMPUTER” VISION

Ethereum’s Vlad Zamfir, Anuj Das Gupta, and Boris Mamlyuk have introduced “Smart Transactions” (STXN), a new protocol designed to expand Ethereum’s capabilities, allowing smart contracts to interact with future events.

Known as the “time machine,” this feature is expected to enable hybrid applications like decentralized rideshares.

STXN, backed by ConsenSys funding, promises to empower developers with dynamic features to create applications beyond traditional Web3 functions, integrating elements from web2 and crypto.

This protocol aims to fulfill Ethereum’s original goal of becoming a versatile “World Computer.”

The team envisions practical applications, like a decentralized Uber, and a verification tool that reports issues in real-time via blockchain.

Backed by $5.5 million in seed funding, STXN is currently partnered with ConsenSys for further development.
