**Ronin Integrates Chainlink to Boost Security and User Experience**
Web3 gaming blockchain Ronin has announced a partnership with Chainlink to enhance its cross-chain bridge security. On October 10, Ronin revealed it would integrate Chainlink's Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP), an inter-chain messaging system that facilitates transactions across different blockchains.
Ronin's decision followed a three-phase selection process, aiming to improve user experience, security, and accelerate adoption. Jeff Zirlin from Sky Mavis praised Chainlink's reliability, while Chainlink's Johann Eid expressed excitement over the collaboration.
Users need not take any action, as the integration will occur seamlessly. The upgrade will initially support transfers between Ethereum and Ronin, with completion expected in two to three months.
This move comes after the 2022 Ronin Bridge hack, which saw over $600 million stolen. Since then, Ronin has increased its validator count and recovered $5.7 million with regulatory help. The Chainlink integration is a significant step towards bolstering network security.
