A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead has announced an option to enable microphones for the monsters to detect real-time sounds the player makes in real-time. This feature brings “the creatures’ terrors right into your room”.

The makers of the upcoming game inspired by the infamous franchise of the same name have found a way to immerse gamers deeply into the game.

The microphone sound detection will make the monsters detect the game’s protagonist if the gamer makes the sound in real life.

They’re coming for you. Don’t make a sound!

The feature will also be available for console players.

One comment by the user on X says “I’m about to be so stressed” while others seem excited for it.

The extent of real-life sound detection is not clear

It is not clear how much distance this noise detection feature can cover or if it will even detect the sounds the keyboard or console keys make. However, this feature may make the gameplay tricky for noisy gamers who like to munch or think out loud while gaming.

The game revolves around blind alien creatures with acute hearing sense just like the movie itself. The protagonist of the game is Alex, a young college student who is also suffering from asthma. Alex has to survive the terrifying world with her boyfriend, Martin, on her side.

A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead is developed by Stormind Games and Saber Interactive with of World War Z and Evil Dead: The Game in their portfolio.

The gameplay involves the players using their genius to use the available tools and overcome the obstacles in the game’s surroundings.

The game will have its launch on October 17th. It will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox series X and S. Preorders for the game are opened with exclusive concept art, a free hospital care package, and a creature animation showcase for £24.99/€29.99.
