Bitfinex Whales Begin Unloading: Whale 3ADUe Sells $49M in BTC Amid $17.4M Losses
In a significant move, one of the four major whales tied to Bitfinex has begun unloading its Bitcoin holdings. Whale 3ADUe, after accumulating large amounts of BTC earlier this year, deposited 790 BTC ($49.19M) back to Bitfinex in the past few hours at an average price of $62,263.
This whale, along with three others, collectively accumulated 8,510 BTC from Bitfinex at an average price of $64,434 between June 12 and August 2, 2024âan investment worth approximately $548.3M. However, Whale 3ADUe is the first of the group to begin selling.
At present, the remaining three whales still hold 7,720 BTC ($481.5M), but with the current price sitting at $62,263, they collectively face an estimated total loss of $17.4M, or -3.18%. All eyes are on these whalesâwill more follow 3ADUeâs lead and start selling?
