According to Cointelegraph, Puma, the global sports brand, has entered into a partnership with Web3 mobile game UNKJD Soccer to incorporate Puma-licensed content within the game. This collaboration aims to enhance player experiences and promote the adoption of Web3 technology. Tal Friedman, CEO of UNKJD, emphasized that Puma's involvement brings significant credibility and visibility to the blockchain space, potentially accelerating its mainstream acceptance.

The partnership will introduce new Puma-based characters with unique skins and game-changing skills. This development follows Puma's recent launch of its 3D metaverse experience, Black Station, designed to offer exclusive access to Puma Pass non-fungible token (NFT) holders.

Ivan Dashkov, director of emerging marketing tech at Puma, stated that integrating with Web3 gaming environments is a priority for the company. He highlighted that gaming is a key part of Puma's culture, and the partnership with UNKJD Soccer aligns with their interests in both gaming and soccer. UNKJD blends street soccer with fantasy gameplay and strategic RPG elements, appealing to both casual and competitive gamers. The first Puma-related content is set to release soon.

Friedman noted that Puma's partnership with UNKJD could be a pivotal moment for mainstream crypto adoption and play-to-earn gaming. He believes that major brands like Puma recognize the significance of Web3 technology and its current relevance. UNKJD has already onboarded 75,000 players during its soft launch, with a full release expected in early 2025. This collaboration showcases the growing momentum within the Web3 gaming space.
