What are trading pairs
Trading pairs in cryptocurrency are combinations of two cryptocurrencies that can be exchanged for each other on an exchange. Usually, one of the currencies is the base currency, and the other is the quote currency.
For example, in the BTC/USDT pair, BTC is the base currency, and USDT is the quote currency.
The price of a trading pair shows how much of the quote currency is needed to buy one unit of the base currency.
Such pairs allow users to exchange one cryptocurrency for another without converting to fiat.
