1️⃣ ASIC: The Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) has issued a report on its efforts to combat online financial fraud. Over the past year, the regulator successfully shut down 7,300 phishing and fraudulent websites. 🔒
2️⃣ Jupiter: The team at Jupiter, a decentralized exchange aggregator built on the #Solana blockchain, uncovered a malicious Google Chrome browser extension. Hackers have been using this extension to steal digital assets, as detailed in the platform's report. 🛡️
3️⃣ Binance: In 2024, #Binance thwarted attempts to steal more than $2.4 billion in user funds. These incidents impacted 1.2 million customers of the exchange. 💰
4️⃣ Incrypted: A #hacker gained access to the Instagram account of McDonald’s, the world’s largest fast-food chain, and used it to promote the meme coin GRIMACE. Although the fake post was eventually removed, the hacker claimed responsibility under the name India_X_Kr3w and thanked them for $700,000 in Solana, possibly profiting from the token's rise in value. 🍔
