BNB Chain has announced the commencement of public voting for BEP-341, with the voting period ending on July 23, 2024. BEP-341 introduces two key parameters designed to address the evolving needs of the BSC ecosystem.

The first parameter, Continuous Blocks, allows BSC validators to generate blocks for a series of n slots consecutively, moving away from the current fixed rotation system. This change is expected to significantly enhance the transactions per second (TPS) rate.

The second parameter aims to mitigate Maximum Extractable Value (MEV) abuse. The proposal includes modifications to the transaction fee distribution within the SystemRewardContract. This adjustment is intended to alter the cost of MEV abuse, ensuring fairer revenue distribution and more timely transaction processing.
