According to BlockBeats, Reddit Data DAO, also known as r/datadao, announced on July 10th that it has entered into a partnership with ORA and Vana. The collaboration aims to launch a decentralized AI model, $RLM (Reddit Language Model), trained with user data and co-owned by users, in the third quarter of 2024.

Previously, r/datadao had aggregated a large amount of data voluntarily provided by Reddit users. This data was securely stored on-chain using Vana's infrastructure. Through the partnership with ORA, r/datadao will be able to leverage ORA's on-chain AI oracle framework (OAO) to build and deploy $RLM in a secure environment, raising funds through an Initial Model Offering (IMO).

The initial version of $RLM, developed with the participation of former Google machine learning engineers, has already demonstrated excellent performance in capturing the tone and sentiment of Reddit users. r/datadao believes that they can build upon this to develop a chat model that can predict Reddit users' reactions to different topic posts. Decentralized social platform Common.xyz plans to use this model, allowing users to simulate the responses a post might receive.
