Worldcoin, a cryptocurrency project co-founded by OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, is preparing for a mainnet launch with the release of a blockchain preview for developers. The World Chain developer preview allows developers to start building on the World Chain ahead of its mainnet launch. Developers have already been testing the World Chain on the OP Stack, an open-source development framework. The World Chain, expected to fully launch in 2024, is a blockchain integrated with Worldcoinâs identity protocol, World ID, designed to enable real human transactions. Once the mainnet launches, over 10 million people in 160 countries will be able to use the World Chain.
