How It Works
Superfast leverages the concept of Liquid Custody Tokens (LCT) in combination with CEXs. LCTs are backed 1:1 by a corresponding underlying asset. BBUSD is backed by USDT, while BBTC is backed by BTCB.
Now while BBUSD and BBTC are currently not directly available for trading on centralized exchanges, their underlying asset is. This opens up the possibility of utilizing the liquidity that these assets possess on centralized exchanges. Superfast builds the robust connection between blockchain and CEX.
When you initiate a swap on-chain, the transaction is picked up and automatically reflected on a CEX. While the trade happens on the CEX with great liquidity, your transaction is settled on-chain and you receive your traded asset on BounceBit network.
