About OriginTrail (TRAC)
OriginTrail is a decentralized project which positions itself to enable seamless data sharing between entities in a multi-chain environment. The protocol is derived from the development of a decentralized project initially launched along with its network token on the Ethereum blockchain platform.
Trace Labs, the official entity behind OriginTrail, started as a company that embarked on a journey to implement traceability systems for food processing companies in Europe as far back as 2013. The company is on record as starting to implement blockchain technology in its systemization in the year 2016.
Called the world’s first official “Decentralized Knowledge Graph,” the fundamental blockchain-based protocol developed by Trace Labs, OriginTrail was launched on Ethereum in 2018. The protocol now supports multi-chain interoperability between engagers in the blockchain-based data-sharing ecosystem. Users of the OriginTrail protocol are empowered to store and obtain shared and discoverable data within the network.
Data and information across multiple industries and market sectors are associated with the OriginTrail protocol. The physical world stretching across industries such as fashion, healthcare, art, entertainment, education, and supply chains are connected in real-time to the digital world of blockchains, smart contract protocol, DeFi, NFTs, and the metaverse - through the interface provided by the OriginTrail protocol.
Today, OriginTrail is interoperable on Ethereum, Polygon and Gnosis Chain, with Polkadot being integrated. The token is fundamentally an ERC-20 cryptocurrency token tradable with other Ethereum cryptocurrencies. Post the Ethereum Merge, TRAC is validated using Proof-of-Stake (PoS) consensus. OriginTrail is known by its token ticker $TRAC. The live price of OriginTrail is updated and available in real-time on Binance.
