What Is the Cross Margin Auto-Transfer Mode?

2024-02-21 02:02
The Cross Margin Auto-Transfer mode lets you place orders using the available assets from both your Spot and Margin Wallets. If your Cross Margin account balance is insufficient when placing an order, the system will automatically transfer the required amount of assets from your Spot Wallet to your Cross Margin Wallet.
Please note that the Cross Margin Auto-Transfer mode only supports auto-transfer of the trading pair assets. For example, if you're trading the BTC/USDC pair, the available BTC and USDC assets in your Spot Wallet are eligible for auto-transfer.
You may also transfer assets to your Margin Wallet manually. For more details, please refer to How to Transfer Funds to Binance Margin Account?.

How to activate the Cross Margin Auto Transfer mode?

1. Log in to your Binance account and go to [Trade] - [Margin]. Choose a trading pair and select the Cross Margin mode.
2. Go to [Preferences]. Select [Auto] next to [Cross Margin Transfer Mode].
Once you’ve activated the Cross Margin Transfer mode, a token’s available balance displayed on the Cross Margin trading interface will include the available balance in your Spot Wallet. Consequently, the maximum borrowable amount will be calculated based on the updated available balance.
For example, you have 30 USDC in your Spot Wallet. If you place an order of 42 USDC under the Auto-Borrow mode, the system will automatically transfer the 30 USDC from your Spot Wallet to your Margin Wallet first, and borrow another 12 USDC to place this order.
