The German Government sent another 6200 BTC ($297.3M) to Kraken, Bitstamp, Coinbase and 139Po. That makes this the biggest day for them so far - over 16,000 BTC in total.
They currently hold 23,787.7 BTC ($1.35B). Less than half of the BTC originally seized from Movie2k remains.
Mining pool F2Pool reported that with electricity costs at $0.08 per 1 kWh, mining bitcoin with ASIC devices with an energy efficiency of less than 23 W/T (watts per terahash) becomes unprofitable.
According to F2Pool's calculations, four types of Antminer devices and one device from Avalon remain profitable at bitcoin prices above $53.1k.
The operation of all other devices has become unprofitable due to the fact that energy costs exceed revenue from mining.
