Mt. Gox will distribute bitcoin and bitcoin cash to creditors starting in July. The exchange has finalized preparations to ensure secure repayments, beginning with verifying information with cryptocurrency exchanges. This follows a 2014 security breach where Mt. Gox lost 850,000 bitcoin. In September 2023, it was announced that creditors would receive 142,000 bitcoin, 143,000 bitcoin cash, and 69 billion yen ($510 million) by October 2024.
