Kabosu, the beloved Shiba Inu behind Dogecoin and countless meme tokens, has passed away at over 17 years old. His owner shared the sad news in a blog post early Friday.
A farewell party for Kabo-chan will be held on Sunday, May 26th, from 1pm to 4pm at Flower Kaori in Kotsu no Mori, Narita City.
Kabosuโs viral meme photo inspired Dogecoin ($DOGE ) in 2013, which began as a joke but evolved into a major cryptocurrency. This success sparked the creation of other dog-themed tokens like Shiba Inu ($SHIB ) and Floki ($FLOKI ), becoming a significant sector in the crypto world.
