Ethereum Founder Vitalik Buterin Proposes a New Fee Type

Vitalik Buterin, one of the founders of Ethereum, proposed using a new type of gas for calldata on the blockchain in a bill EIP-7706.

There are currently two types of gas in the #Ethereum blockchain: one for the execution of transactions and one for the storage of data.

Vitalik Buterin suggests creating a separate type of gas for calldata, a method of data storage. Calldata is the data element sent along with the transaction that allows #Ethereum users to send messages to others or interact with smart contracts.

If this proposal is accepted, the transaction fee required for the transfer of calldata will be calculated independently of other fees. However, it is aimed to make transaction fees more efficient.

Buterin also suggested using a system that would allow all three transaction fees to be calculated simultaneously so that the calculation process would proceed without delay.
