GasHero will be a new kind of PvP-social #Web3Gaming experience. Yet most of its details and gameplay is yet to be released. However, there is an on-going contest for the characters of the game, that will be designed NFTs by the community. Anyone can participate by following these guidelines and rules, which were recently clarified in a Q&A-style by GasHeroOfficial:

Q: Are there any restrictions on the tools I can use to create my design?

A: No, you can use any tools you prefer, including AI tools, as long as the final design meets the file requirements.

Q: What style of drawing should I use for my design?

A: There's no style restriction for the contest. We welcome all types of art forms such as Realism, Semi-realise, Cartoon, Manga, Abstract, Pixel Art, Minimalist, and so on. Feel free to use the style you're most comfortable with.

Q: Is there a limit to how many entries I can submit?

A: No, there is no submission quantity limit. We welcome multiple entries.

2. Design Questions:

Q: Does my design need to include the full body of the hero?

A: Yes, a full-body design is required for the contest. Half-body or NFT-like designs will not be accepted. It would be better if creators can provide the side view and back view.

Q: Should my design include the hero's equipment and weapons?

A: Yes, we encourage you to design full gear and weapons for your hero as they can better showcase the hero's characteristics and backstory.

Q: Can I use any colour scheme for my design?

A: Yes, there are no specific colour scheme requirements. Use whatever colour you think best represents your hero.

Q: Are a hero's name and backstory required?

A: Yes, a unique hero name and compelling backstory, written in English, are crucial elements of your submission. The backstory should be original and align with the character's design. The story should be within 500 words.

3. Submission Questions:

Q: What file formats do you accept?

A: We accept PSD, AI, EPS, and TIFF file formats, but the final uploaded file should be a transparent PNG. Please keep the original design file on standby for any future requirements.

Q: What resolution should my design be?

A: The image's resolution must be set to 2048 x 2048 pixels with a transparent background.

Q: Is there a size limit for the design file?

A: Yes, please ensure the file size does not exceed 7 MB for the uploaded PNG.

4. Post-Submission Questions:

Q: What happens if my design is selected?

A: For each codename released, 20 artworks will be selected to become the game's Genesis Heroes. After the selected artworks are minted as Genesis Heroes NFTs, the 2% ongoing creator royalties from those NFTs will belong to the creators.

Q: If my design isn't selected, can I still participate in future contests?

A: Absolutely! The Genesis Design Competition has three phases; we always encourage all creators to continue participating, regardless of whether their previous design is selected for that phase.

Q: If I see this contest after the submission deadline, can I still submit my work?

A: Unfortunately, we cannot accept any artwork submitted after the deadline. However, you can still attend our Phase II and Phase III competitions.

Q: If I win, how do I claim my prize?

A: If your work is selected, our team will contact you through the contact information you provided when you participated and tell you the steps to claim your prize.

5. Other Queries:

Q: Can I submit a character I designed in the past as my competition entry?

A: As long as your work meets all the competition requirements, including originality and file format, you can submit it. However, we encourage you to create new designs for this competition.

Q: Can my artwork contain adult content, violence, or disturbing elements?

A: No. All submitted works must comply with general community guidelines and standards, and cannot contain adult, disturbing, or excessively violent content.

Q: Can I use characters from other games or movies as design inspiration?

A: You can draw inspiration from other sources, but be careful to avoid copyright infringement. Your design must be original and should not directly copy or modify others' works.

Q: Can I collaborate with my friends to submit a work?

A: Absolutely, but if your work wins, the prize will be sent to the account that submitted the work. You'll need to decide among yourselves how to share the prize.

The distribution method of the prizes is yet to be announced, but the total pool is known: UGC Genesis #NFTs -Contest with a total prize pool of over 2,000,000 $GMT #GOATMoments
