🔴Optimism Collective Deliberative Processes coming to Retro Public Good Funding Round 4 New governance experiment coming during Retro Public Funding Round 4: Deliberative Processes Optimism Governance takes an iterative approach on its path towards Open Metagovernance, ie. to transfer the majority of governance duties from the Optimism Foundation to the Optimism Collective, with the foundation as only one of the many contributors to proposing system changes. What are Deliberative Processes? Deliberative Processes help us get a representative sample of everyday people or users involved in making governance decisions, and enable space for thoughtful discussion. A few hypotheses will be tested in each round and the results will inform the design of future rounds and/or other parts of the governance system. - Any member of the community may contribute. - This initial experiment could be applied to other parts of the Optimism Governance. How it will be implemented 1️⃣ A randomly selected set of 50 voters will be randomly selected to participate 2️⃣ This subset of voters will deliberate on a topic of relevance to Round 4 3️⃣ Between the two sessions, the community will be able to comment on the draft output 4️⃣ The ratified outcome will be incorporated directly into Retro Funding 4 voting.
