March of 2022 $BTC $ETH From the Bank of England : Currently, the vast majority of cryptoasset activity is driven by the use of highly volatile unbacked cryptoassets as speculative investment assets. Unbacked cryptoassets are non-replicable strings of computer code that can be owned and transferred without intermediaries, and have no underlying assets. Such cryptoassets (the most commonly known being Bitcoin and Ether) comprise around 90% of the total market capitalisation of cryptoassets. Unbacked cryptoassets establish no claim on future income streams or collateral, meaning they have no intrinsic value. Although they tend to be based on technology which could bring benefits to the financial system, their value is not directly tied to the technology. These characteristics make them vulnerable to major price corrections that mean investors may lose the entire value of their investment. Bitcoin returns are three times as volatile as the S&P 500. Large daily swings in value are common – Bitcoin prices have fallen by 10% or more in a single day around 25 separate times over the past five years, on one occasion falling 27% in a single day. This price volatility makes unbacked cryptoassets unsuitable to be widely used as money, for example as a means of exchange or a store of value. Stablecoins offer instantaneous processing and security of payments as many cryptocurrencies do. They also offer stability with respect to their parity against fiat currencies. Two digital currencies that fall into this category are RippleNet’s native digital currency Ripple (XRP), and Stellar network’s native cryptocurrency, the Stellar Lumen (XLM). Since tethers live on the Bitcoin blockchain, the provability and accounting of tethers at any given point in time is trivial. Implementation Weaknesses We understand that our implementation doesn’t immediately create a fully trustless cryptocurrency system.Mainly because users must trust Tether Limited and our corresponding legacy banking institution to be the custodian of the reserve assets. However, almost all exchanges and wallets (assuming they hold USD/fiats) are subject to the same weaknesses. Users of these services are already subject to these risks. Economic/Speculative/Financial Bubble An economic bubble (also called a speculative bubble or a financial bubble) is a period when current asset prices greatly exceed their intrinsic valuation, being the valuation that the underlying long-term fundamentals justify. Bubbles can be caused by overly optimistic projections about the scale and sustainability of growth (e.g. dot-com bubble), and/or by the belief that intrinsic valuation is no longer relevant when making an investment (e.g. Tulip mania). They have appeared in most asset classes, including equities (e.g. Roaring Twenties), commodities (e.g. Uranium bubble), real estate (e.g. 2000s US housing bubble), and even esoteric assets (e.g. Cryptocurrency bubble). Bubbles usually form as a result of either excess liquidity in markets, and/or changed investor psychology. Large multi-asset bubbles (e.g. 1980s Japanese asset bubble and the 2020–21 Everything bubble), are attributed to central banking liquidity (e.g. overuse of the Fed put). In the early stages of a bubble, many investors do not recognize the bubble for what it is. People notice the prices are going up and often think it is justified. #CLV Journey Update 5: With regards to my previous post Good day ! The price indeed surpassed my LH1 and now we have a nice pullback. As you can see in the first picture there's a green box which indicates my 1st entry and below it is my possible 2nd entry. As you can see as well the 3rd and 4th pictures below, for transparency sake, I started with $77 buying #bonk and turned it to $234 by spot trading. For those who are new in this kind of business I suggest you start with spot trading and later on if you're confident enough trading with your edge try leverage with risk management. I will divide my new capital $234 into 3 so I'll be entering 3 times. I'll be updating my trades as long as I can. For now I will wait for the price to enter in the green box for my 1st entry.
