According to PANews, Web3 security incidents in October led to total losses of approximately $147 million. Data from SlowMist indicates that 28 separate attacks accounted for around $129 million in losses, with $19.3 million later recovered. These incidents involved various forms of abuse, including exit scams, account takeovers, and price manipulation.
Additionally, Web3 anti-fraud platform Scam Sniffer reported 12,058 phishing victims last month, resulting in losses of up to $18.04 million.
