According to BlockBeats, on September 15, blockchain investigator ZachXBT criticized stablecoin issuer Circle for its handling of blacklisting addresses involved in DeFi vulnerabilities and hacks. ZachXBT accused Circle of failing to blacklist addresses in a timely manner, despite having ample opportunity to do so, and continuing to profit from transactions involving these addresses.

ZachXBT highlighted that, in comparison to other major issuers, Circle took four and a half months to blacklist addresses associated with the hacker group Lazarus Group. He expressed frustration with Circle's actions, stating, 'Tired of your hypocritical moral statements because you are the root of the problem.'
