According to Odaily, David Fischer, the manager of a Bitcoin mining facility under Marathon Digital, has been acquitted of 12 noise violation charges in North Texas. Hood County officer John Shirley reported that over 40 local residents had complained about the noise levels from the facility, claiming they exceeded 85 decibels and posed potential public health risks. The defense argued that the noise level readings were exaggerated. Another issue in the case was that the noise citations were issued to Fischer, making it difficult for the jury to link him directly to the noise problem and assess his ability to mitigate it.
