According to Foresight News, Hong Kong digital asset exchange HKbitEX has received a principal approval for a virtual asset trading platform (VATP) license from the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC). The license covers Type 1 regulated activities (securities trading) and Type 7 regulated activities (providing automated trading services). HKbitEX's parent company, Tai Chi Capital Group Limited, becomes the first full-license digital financial group under the new virtual asset trading platform operator licensing system.

HKbitEX will offer automated trading and over-the-counter trading services for virtual assets such as Bitcoin and Ethereum, as well as convenient and compliant fiat currency deposit and withdrawal services for users. After obtaining approval from the SFC for token listing, HKbitEX will provide automated trading services for security tokens under the group.
