According to Foresight News, Magic Eden, an NFT marketplace, has announced the launch of a new feature called 'Lucky Buy'. This feature allows buyers to bid on selected NFTs at a variable percentage of the listed price, with the percentage representing the probability of winning the auction. If the bid is successful, Magic Eden will cover the difference, and the seller will still receive the full listed price for their NFT. Even if the buyer does not successfully purchase the NFT, they can still receive 'diamond' incentives.
Currently, Magic Eden is only allowing the Degen Ape Academy NFT series to support this feature, but plans to expand it to other NFT series in the future. It is important to note that Magic Eden charges a 3% fee on each Lucky Buy transaction, with the revenue split as follows: 1% goes to the creator, 1% goes to the seller, and 1% goes to the Magic Eden platform.
